Description
This special edition focuses on broken octaves, the nemesis for many pianists. This skill is one of the more complex challenges we face as pianists, and without all the steps in place, fatigue or burning sensations in the forearm can be common. Therese will offer a short presentation on the steps towards fast, comfortable broken octaves, along with excerpts form the repertoire including the opening of the Pathetique (of course!), and Mozart’s Piano Concerto in D minor. This will be followed by a small number of 10 minute participant places answering your questions on this topic.
Ten Minutes with Therese offer a flexible access point for those who want to learn a little more about what the Taubman Approach can offer, or for those who study regularly but just have that extra question to have answered. All participants will be given access to the video after the event to review.
