In the process of putting together this website I’ve come across several old CDs of live recordings over the years, each laden with memories and uniquely connected to that particular era of my life. Messiaen’s music casts an inescapable and intoxicating spell over me, and holds a very special place in my heart. Fortunately I crossed paths with a courageous soprano, Emma Baker-Spink, who loves Messiaen as much as I do, and is willing to surrender herself to the intensity of this music.
